dwsea scholarship award

DWSEA awards a scholarship each May to a qualified female student in Cochise County who is advancing their education. Applicants must be at least a graduating senior and a registered Democrat. If under age 18, one parent must be a registered Democrat. Applying students should be scheduled to, or currently attending, a university, community college, technical or trade school. Applications due by 4/1/26.

All are welcome, women and men, to our monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except July) in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Connect with like-minded liberals, get updates on political news & events, and enjoy our guest speakers, presentations & energy. Come join our strong, blue community!

BLUE JENNY & GTG

Enjoy the comradery of our monthly discussion group, Blue Jenny Democracy Cafe, where members talk about issues that are most concerning to women. For younger progressives, DWSEA hosts a monthly group, Good Trouble Gathering, that provides a venue & opportunity for those 50 & under to meet, mingle & discuss their concerns.

DWSEA prides itself in hosting speakers who enlighten & educate members on causes and interests we hold dear as women and progressives. During election years we focus on enhancing our political knowledge, helping our county party & hosting local, county, state & nation-wide political candidates.

DWSEA SCHOLARSHIP

DWSEA awards an annual donation to a deserving female student each May to help with furthering their education after high school. Help promote our scholarship in area schools & by tabling at community events. Have input in updating our scholarship application & selecting our recipients.

Join club members in facilitating meaningful connections with community members in need. Aid DWSEA in sharing our values with donation drives and volunteering for community outreach events. Share our vision of taking care of our community and helping our own members who need assistance.

Help broaden the club's influence & build DWSEA's reputation in the community by volunteering to work our DWSEA booths at local events. Register new county voters & pass out promotional literature about the club. Assist DWSEA in co-hosting local events with civic-minded groups & entities.

DWSEA Cares Committee APRIL Donation Drive

DWSEA Cares Committee is hosting a donation drive during April to benefit Forgach House. Forgach House is located in the Sierra Vista area and provides emergency shelter for women & children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and trafficking.

Donations can be dropped off at the Cochise County Democratic Party office in Landmark Plaza, Suite 11, during office hours Mon-Fri during April AND at the DWSEA April 21 general meeting.
