        dwsea scholarship award

        DWSEA awards a scholarship each May to a qualified female (or two) in Cochise County who is advancing her education. Applicants must be at least a graduating senior and a registered Democrat. If under age 18, one parent must be a registered Democrat. Our 2025 recipients are Lena Armstrong of Buena HS ($1000) & Keyra Espinosa of Douglas HS ($500). CONGRATS Lena & Keyra!

        DWSEA prides itself in hosting speakers who enlighten & educate members on causes and interests we hold dear as women and Democrats. During election years we focus on enhancing our political knowledge, helping our county party & hosting local, county, state & nation-wide political candidates.

        Make a difference by volunteering your time and skills to help DWSEA grow younger & more diverse. Share your great ideas to help the committee coordinate venues to attract new members to future-proof our club. Help host DWSEA Meet & Greets, fun events and volunteer to work club info tables at events.

        DWSEA awards an annual donation to a deserving female student each May to help with furthering their education after high school. Help promote our scholarship in area schools & by tabling at community events. Have input in updating our scholarship application & selecting our recipient.

          Our annual membership is $22 for the calendar year. Dues help pay for the club's monthly meeting space, required insurance, website hosting, promotional materials and so much more. Your check or cash payment to support the club can be accepted at our monthly meetings or mailed to DWSEA at PO Box 1674 Sierra Vista, AZ 85636
